解释也叫苦卤、盐卤。一般指由海水等咸水制盐时所残留的母液。是氯化镁、硫酸镁和氯化钠的混合物。味苦有毒，供制豆腐等使用。食盐潮解后所成的卤水也叫盐卤。 矿化度大于50克／升的地下水。用以提取某些化工原料（如食盐、硼、溴、碘等）。
