佛教语。梵语Arhat(阿罗汉)的省称。小乘的最高果位，称为“无学果”。谓已断烦恼，超出三界轮回，应受人天供养的尊者。我国寺庙中供奉者，有十六尊、十八尊、五百尊、八百尊之分。
